The Blizzard of '88Photograph collection of The Museum of the City of New YorkThis famous blizzard managed to paralyze the city and left its mark on the weather history of New York. Everything stopped. Twenty-two inches of snow fell weighing down the wires on poles that laced the streets. The result was a breakdown of utilities.
