Brooklyn Bridge Footpath

Brooklyn Bridge Footpath

Brooklyn Bridge: The Footpath, 1877

Schell & Logan. Engraving: Harper's Weekly; March 31, 1877.

A view of the wooden pathway leading up to the Brooklyn Tower of the great Brooklyn Bridge. It is not certain what the function of the footbridge was, but it can be speculated that it was needed to get the heavy cables strung.
